Hello..

when i opened my macbook this morning i realised that my desktop icons had all disappeared.

I relaunched my finder but nothing came back.!

Can someone please help me figure out what is going on?! :\

Many Thanks

What icons?

Open Finder - Preferences - General tab and make sure whatever you want on the desktop is checked off.

Hi thanks for your answer..!

what i meant is that anything i had on my desktop (folders) is now gone..

I checked the finder preferences and the only things that are checked is External Disks and CD's DVD's and iPods

Thats supposed to be like that right?

Yes - if you want those to show on your desktop.

Are you logged in to a different user account?
Did you by any chance change the name of your home folder?
