Hi guys!

I am having trouble transferring my itunes library to my new iphone 4s, and I think it has something to do with not having the latest operating system.... I currently have an imac G5 10.4.11

Is there any way around this problem without having to pay for the upgrade to the new operating system? I don't think I should have to pay apple to transfer music that I own...

Thanks!

The minimum system requirements for your 4S is OS X 10.5.8. And since Leopard is no longer being sold by Apple, eBay and Craig's list are probably the best place to purchase it from. You'll need the retail version (Black with X on the disk) which sells for around $100.00.

That or find an app that will allow direct access to the file system on the iPhone and work with 10.4.

Believe you'll find the same issue. All the current apps I found require 10.6 as a minimum.
The couple of apps I found that still have their discontinued apps listed require 10.5 minimum.
