Screenshots in Panther

I took several screenshots on panther 3.1 using the same keys as in jaguar and I heard the camera click sound everytime I did it but I have no idea where they went. I remember on jaguar theyd go to thedesktop but this time I couldnt find them. Anybody know where they go?

how do I view the clipboard. sorry if I sound dumb im a relative switcher

in Finder, Edit menu >> Show Clipboard
