Corrupt Files ?

Hi Folks

I am running OSX version 10.7.4 on a new Imac, purchased earlier this year.
I have used Office 2008 for Mac successfully throughout this time. Now suddenly I have received an error message on opening up Entourage, that I have a corrupt Rules file.
I was advised to delete the Rules file, but now it has been replaced with another error message stating that I now appear to have a corrupt Signatures file.

I fear that I am digging myself into an ever deeper hole, as I really don't understand these things.

Have any other members experienced these issues?
If so, can you give me an idiot's guide on how to resolve the problems, or am I better off taking my Imac to a local repairer

Thanks
John

I've found when that happens in Office 2008, it's best to uninstall Office and reinstall. Use the Office 2008 uninstaller or follow Microsoft's instructions which you can find here. Uninstalling does not remove your documents (Word, PP, Excel, or Entourage) and templates but it's always best to back them up first.

Thanks for your response.
I shall have to have a search for the disc.
The software was transferred onto my Imac from a Mac Mini that I had previously. Not seen the disc for some time

cheers
