Mail outbox trick

I was wondering if anyone knew how to set the Mail.app to always show the outbox folder on startup - I usually disconnect myself and send a bogus email in order for that folder to show up - But i'm sure there's a more simplier solution.

I need to make sure my message are sent, and simply seing them leave the outbox works pretty nicely for me - since I didn't see any other indicator that the mail was sent successfully or not.

Why don't you look in the sent folder?

When I send mail, during the sending process you see the outbox (1) and then it goes to the sent items........
