downloading

i cant seem to download certain things. For instance i was able to download and install Carbon Poker with no problem but when i try other sites i can find it in a file but thats where it stops, no install message or anything. What am i missing here or what is stopping the completion of the install?

Most apps just require that you move the icon to the Applications folder. Some apps require the "traditional" install.

It depends on the app.

You mean you couldn't install some things that you downloaded, right? If so, the answer is above.
