Hey guys,

I know this is probably a pretty common question on the forum, but is it worth it to get a MBP with Retina display? I have configured both the way I want it and the price difference between the two is like $120 dollars. Besides basic internet exploring I do some amateur photography on the side a as a hobby. Nothing serious, I do use the laptop for Grad School projects reports etc too. Any input would be great.

FYI I am looking at a 2.5 GHz proccessor, 8 Gigs of Ram, and 256 GB SSD. Thanks!

My advice is always this: Buy the most computer you can afford. If you can afford to purchase a MBP with Retina display, then go for it. Keep in mind, however, that the Retina models are not user upgradeable at the current time. So you would want to buy one with the maximum amount of memory that you can afford. There will likely be an upgrade later on for the Flash drive, but for now you're stuck with what's available from Apple. The memory can never be upgraded once you've purchased the machine.
