Apple TV 3 Restore problems

Hi, I've had my new Apple TV a few months and have only used it a couple of times. Last time I tried to use it connected to a TV the small white light was flashing quickly and the picture on the screen suggested I needed to plug it into the Mac and restore from ITunes.

I've just tried doing that. The Apple TV recovery screen appeared on ITunes when I did this (so it can obviously tell that the Apple TV is connected). However, when I click on the 'Restore Apple TV' button I get an error message which says 'The device cannot be found'. Any ideas what I need to do next? Thanks

hi Ian, i had the same issue last year after one of the updates...... took took the atv to a apple store... and they replace the entire unit..... seems like there is nothing u can do.
