I have an ipad 2 that's about 8 months old and I just started noticing that the safari search bar gets stuck on the screen. It's not very noticeable and may have been going on for awhile I and just didnt notice, but is this going to get worse? Would a reset help? Or should I just take it to the closest apple store, over an hour away, and return it?

LCDs do not have a burn-in or retention issue..and even then, the burn-in on old plasma TVs took a long while to occur..

Can you take a picture of it to show or is too subtle to see?

It's really hard to see but if you search image retention on iPads there are a lot of results so I am not the only one having this issue. Seems like its only with safari and one other app I use. Maybe ill use chrome for a while and see if I have the same problem.

This is getting really annoying, the safari tool bar will get stuck on the screen. It seems to only be certain apps but I really am considering taking it back even tho the closest apple store is 2 hours away.

I've seen some folks with this issue on another forum. I personally do not have this issue but if you really do have image retention, you should bring it back.

I finally took my iPad 2 into the Apple Store in Syracuse, NY and they replaced it after looking at it maybe 30 seconds. Great customer service, I couldn't be happier.
