Can't get or send mail on iPhone

Just purchased an iPhone 4s and can'
t get email. I have an iPad and all settings seem to be the same.

How are you adding your mail ?? Through the Mail App or a 3rd party like Gmail ??
What iOS are you running on the 4s?

iphone email connection
