Which RAM?

Hello all! So I just pulled the trigger on the brand new 27in iMac. Now my buddy at the apple store told me to get the 8GB ram and just upgrade, since it would be cheaper.

So my question is, what RAM should I go with. Also wanted to double check that I need the so-dimm 204 pin. I do a lot of video work and photography in photoshop and lightroom, so I'm wanting to get the full 32GBs. I'm having a hard time finding 2x8GB (so two sets of that) so-dimm sticks that are 1600mhz DDR3. Is the corsair vengeance any good? I heard people were having problems with it in the the newer macbook pro. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You should use the RAM selector at a reputable dealer to select your RAM.

I've done a bunch of reading on this as well and I am going to be going with this:

16GB kit (8GBx2), 204-pin SODIMM, DDR3 PC3-12800 upgrades for Apple iMac (27-inch, Late 2012) Desktop/PC, CT3650258 from Crucial.com

On most of the discussions I've read, either OWL or Crucial seem to be the most recommended...

I think you mean OWC. I just got my 32GB of RAM in the post from OWC today. Just finished installing it in my new 27" iMac. ^-^
