It looks like it might be a memory fault but it could also be something else. Try starting your Mini in safe mode and let it run that way for awhile to see if the freezing occurs. Hold down your shift key as soon as you hear the boot sound and continue holding it until the machine boots up. Running in safe mode removes all third party drivers and all startup items. It also removes the sound driver.

Thanks for the speedy reply buddy! Ill give that a go.

When you say memory problem do you mean the ram could be the problem?

Yes, it appears to be faulting according to the kernel panic report you posted. But sometimes that's deceptive and could be caused by something else. That's why we have to run the machine in safe mode for awhile to see if the same problem occurs.

If it froze in Safe mode it's definitely a hardware problem. The first thing I would try is swap out the memory modules. You can try removing them one module at a time and see if it freezes. You could also have a failing hard drive that is freezing. Sometimes tests like the Apple Hardware test are not definitive enough to pinpoint the problem.

Ive a new hardrive that the apple store fitted just in case. But i do have third party ram so that could be the problem if you say it might be ram. Do you guys recommend any ram? Ive 16gb in it at the moment that i bought from an ebay store.

We recommend memory from either Crucial or Other World Computing. I usually tell folks to avoid buying memory from eBay sellers. Some eBay sellers are legitimate good retailers while others not so. Sometimes they'll sell memory designed for PCs as OK for the Mac while it's not.
