Battery question

Macbook Pro, Mid-2010

Battery is tested to be fine. It holds charge, but it doesn't get charged.

It has to be used with AC power connected all the time.

Any suggestions on what the source of the problem may be?

Have you tried resetting SMC?

The problem exists on a macbook that is for sale by someone so I do not have access at this time. When I go to look at it I can try this. Thanks for your response.
