Open fies by default

How do I set up a program to open certain files by default? For example i want to open an mp3 file in the Quicktime player instead of the default iTunes?

Open Finder, then go find any MP3 file. Right click and choose Get Info or hit CMD+i, now about three quarters of the way down on the dialog that will pop up, you will see a "Open With:" section. Here choose Quicktime Player and then hit the "Change all" button right below.

Now all MP3 files will open with Quicktime..
