Apple TV 1st Gen not working

Hi Guy's,

I have recently brought an apple tv 1st gen that was being sold as spares or repair..

Anyway, I plugged it in and got the yellow light flashing.. I looked on the internet and found it to be the hard drive faulty (not spinning).. I have replaced the hard drive and ran through putting the OS on it.. Anyway, I now switch it on and still get the yellow flashing light...

Has anyone got any ideas on what could be wrong?

Did you format the drive for Mac (journaled) since it uses a watered down version of Tiger ?

Yes mate.. Im sure I did..
