mac update related problems

i tried updating my MAC OS X 10.5.4 to 10.5.8. After downloading, it prompted to restart my Mac which i did,but its taking like forever to update. Its like its hung<pls i need an urgent help pls

We don't know how long forever happens to be in this particular case.

A half an hour - 5 hours - ???

Really? Do you mean after trying to reinstall using the downloaded file?

Where did you get the file?
