possible to reinstall Mail?

Yes that's what I would have done but my gmail doesn't let you send attachments over 20mb so we ended up just using software restore to get it back.munch said:

actually, i couldn't find the software restore program on my mac, also I reinstalled the bundled packages from my OSX disc and Mail still is not installed
any suggestions?

If you truly deleted the Mail app, then the only way you are going to get it back is to use your software restore/install discs.
I would first do a Spotlight search to see if it is still on your HD somewhere.
If not, then you are going to have to find your discs and do an Archive and Install.
Either that, or you can download and use Pacifist to only install the Mail app.

Maybe someone could put it on some webspace for you ? Perhaps idisk within .mac? I have no webspace as such, otherwise I would upload the Mail app for you - but maybe someone else on here could help.

Well, this may seem obvious, but if all you did was drag it to the Trash, then it's probably still sitting in the Trash. You could just un-delete it.
But if you seriously and really deleted it (meaning it's not even in the Trash anymore) then you'll need your System Restore CD's.
