In the description, it says you have to have a Mac mini from early 2009 or later. My Mac mini was purchased mid 2008. I want to upgrade from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion (I forgot to get Lion) but don't know if it will work. I do have 10.6.8 OS but my hardware is mid-2008. Since Apple doesn't answer questions online I was wondering if anyone out there knows if I can safely upgrade and have everything working. Thanks!

Lion is as far as you can go on that particular Mini. Your Mini is either a late 2007 model or maybe earlier. (There were no Mini models produced in 2008.) It doesn't really matter because the graphics chipset does not qualify. From 2009 on, the Mini can be upgraded to Mountain Lion.
