Hello all,
I have been trying to move eight large dv files totalling 40 gigs to an external firewire drive. Everytime that I try and move them one or two might copy and then I will receive an error code -36 which I know is an I/O error. I have repaired permissions on my os disc and there is no way to repair permissions on the firewire drive. I reformatted the firewire drive to Mac Os Extended and I am still having the issue.
Finally I got tired of messing with the files, so I logged into terminal and moved them that way. This method worked fine, yet why am I not able to just drag and drop?
