My son and I were attempting to resurrect a macbook from the best parts of my and my wife's old macbooks to use as a homework/etc. computer. He noticed these stickers on the memory: One computer says "Good" and the other says "Better"... anyone know what these mean? -is there a "Best"? Any thoughts? I was just curious.

I realized that maybe it has to do with the processor speed. one is a 1.83 ghz and the other is a 2.00 ghz.

Would it be worth it to swap out the processor too? Is that easy to do?

The other thing is that from the time the computers were new, the one that was mine (2.0 ghz) had appreciably louder audio than the other. My wife's was hard to hear even at full volume. Does anyone have any ideas what components we would have to swap out to have the better audio?

Other than that, everything on the frankensteined computer functions properly; we just thought there might be room for improvement.

Any thoughts or other input would be appreciated.

You'd have to swap the logic board

How hard is that? Would I notice a difference in performance? Is the volume issue related to this or a sound card, or ???
