When I boot to the eDrive in TechTool Pro, there are two files on my Desktop that I can't get rid of. It tells me I don't have permission, but when I do Get Info, it says System, Staff and Everyone has Read & Write permission.

I then click the padlock and unlock it with my password. The greyed-out items come to life. But I still can't drag the file to the Trash. I've tried every modifier key. If I close the now unlocked Get Info window and do Get Info again, it's locked!

What else can I try?

Whenever that happens to me, I log on as Root and delete away. How to setup the Root user: LINK

Interesting, but, in order to see the eDrive Desktop, I have to enter TTP and do an eDrive Restart. I don't think I'd see these files when logged in as Root User, but I can try it to confirm that suspicion.
