Did you try going to the Adobe site and update Flash?

Flash is built into Chrome. It doesn't use the version on your Mac and the current version Chrome is 22 I believe.

I'd uninstall the version you have, get the latest version and try again.

If that doesn't work get the latest version of flash from Adobe, install and run the website from Safari.

Neither Chrome nor Flash support 10.5 any longer.

The only real way to "fix" the issue is going to be upgrading your MB to 10.6.

You might try checking your country's Apple store - Snow Leopard just went back up for sale online in the U.S. store this past week. If not, you may need to pick up the phone and call them to get a copy.

Only a guess - immediately after install it has not phoned home to look for updates. By the time you open it for the 2nd time, it has phoned home and Chrome is no longer providing any downloads for 10.5.

There are about 15 versions of Chrome for 10.5 newer than the one you are attempting to use. You might try installing the latest one you can find rather than one that old - link.

Personally, I'd probably switch back to Safari or maybe Opera.
