free preferably

i have a mac g4 and i just bought a new gaming computer i wanted to know what emulators there are out there that convert windows to mac

You want to run PC apps on a Mac correct? VPC, and it's not free. There are no free Windows emulators that I know of. I think there are some DOS ones though.

im not sure if there is anything like PearPC for mac.. open source or likewise...

Wow, that's even harder. There were some apps some years back that allowed a mac emulation on Win95/98, but it only ran OS7 and OS8 IIRC. Have not heard of anything since then.

Anyone else?

yeah, you are thinking of Basilisk...that emulates Classic OS's

PearPC lets you emulate OS X on a Windows PC.
There is also Cherry OS that does pretty much the same thing

Just do a google for it.

Yep, that was it.

I completely forgot about PearPC and Cherry. To be honest, I know at least one person who tried PearPC and said it was worthless. Have not read much about Cherry, but all that I have read has been bad.
