High speed scrubbing bar has appeared when I'm playing music on iPhone 5. I don't want it there and I can't get rid of it. Can anyone help? Many thanks.

Tap the middle of the screen to make it appear and disappear.

(And only need to post in one location - thanks.)

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately nothing happens when I tap the screen! No matter what I do, the bar remains!!

Try a reboot - turn your phone off and back on.

Thanks again for your response but a reboot also made no difference. The bar just will not disappear!!

Can you press the home and power key together and quickly release it to take a screenshot of what you are seeing and post it here so that we can all see what you are seeing??

Apologies but I'm not technically minded. How do I post the screenshot?

Click on "Say Something!" under my post..one in the Advanced editor. Scroll down to find the Manage Attachments button. Click that to get a new popup. In the popup, hit Choose File and locate the screenshot and hit Upload.

After that, just enter your text and "Submit Reply"..

This, of course, assumes that you've already taken the screenshot off the iOS device. The fastest thing to do there is to just email the screenshot to yourself from the Camera Roll..

Because you are looking at the album art view. If you will tap on the arrow in the upper left, you'll be taken back to the song/playlist/artist/albums/more view and the player bar will be gone.

Your can just put the iPhone to sleep. The music will keep playing.

Am I correct to "assume" then, that since the screen is taller on the iPhone 5, there is room for the album cover and the scrubber bar - it is a permanent fixture now instead of having to toggle it on and off???

If so, that's cool since it doesn't pop up on top of the artwork.
