Hub

I would like to get a hub but didn't know if multiple usb connectors can be plugged into the same usb plug on the macbook pro 3.0 usb. I would like to connect my external hard drive, iphone, thumb drive into it. My other usb port has an external keyboard/mouse connector. Ideally would get a powered hub if they have those since my hd requires power from the port.

Is there a powered hub that would work for me?

Yes any powered hub should be ok for you. Just go to your local electronics shop and have a look for one that suits your needs.
I have a Targus unpowered hub that suits my needs with 4 connector spaces.
