task bar or tool bar

Trying to make the size of the task bar or tool bar, which ever one you call it, and have not been able to see how to do it. I have an iMac, operating Lion 10.8.2 - all of sudden, like this morning, the size of the tool bar , task bar is very, very small. Please tell me what to look for in the iMac that will make it larger.

Welcome to Mac-Forums

You mean the bar that's at the bottom of screen with all of your application icons? If so, that's the Dock. You resize it by finder the sizer on the right size and dragging it up or down.

If it's not the Dock, then please tell us the location of this bar and we'll go from there..

Thanks for the reply but I am not talking about the DOC. I know how it functions. The task bar or tool bar is at the top of my screen
1st the Apple logo, file, edit, view, history, bookmarks, develop, window and then help.

The right side has my name, the time, the date, character viewer, sound, wi-fi, bluetooth, time preference,

Just this morning I've noticed the bar is very small in size - would like to make it larger. How?

how to reset size of task bar or tool bar - it's too small - can't find the menu info of how to do that

need to resize the tool bar. please tell me where the menu info is on the iMac to do that. Just this morning it is very small. would like to make it larger. How do I do that? Not talking about the doc - i know how it functions.

- Now adjust the Dock settings as desired.

The top bar on your Mac is called the "Menu bar".

Neither it's size, nor the font size is adjustable.

The only way you're going to change it's size is to change the resolution of your display.

I think that I got confused. You got it right...OP is talking about the "Menu Bar" not the "Dock". OP made about 5 posts/2 threads for the same question…thus the confusion on my part!

Doc is the guy you go to when you're sick. Dock is for a boat, or space shuttle, or now also located at the bottom of your Mac's screen. Bar is where you get a good, stiff drink when you have problems with your Menu.

What im interested in is the part where the OP said

. What has happened to the OS to have this happen all of a sudden.
OP can you give us a idea of how small it is now >> Have you done a simple restart of your Mac ??
