ah, how frustrating is this?
I've copied my iphoto library on an external hard drive to create space on the lap. then deletet massive amounts of photos on mac.
now I search for a photo (deleted on the mac) on the hard drive where I stored it, but when I click on the Iphoto library on the hard drive. it only opens the iphoto on my mac.
makes no sense at all to me. did I loose all my shots now? (since of course I deleted them in the laptop library to create space).
If anyone could help I'd be eternally grateful!

If you did move the iPhoto library to the external drive - Hold down the option key (or alt key) when you open iPhoto.

You will then be able to choose which library you want to open. Browse to the iPhoto library you moved to the external and select it.

Just realize it may be slow if you're using USB 2 and have a large library.
