I have a 17" Macbook Pro Model a1212. About a month ago my backlight would just turn off. I have replaced the inverter, the display cables, and the display itself. Still the backlight continues to go on and off. I'm not sure if there's anything I can do or if it's the logic board going out.

Any ideas would be helpful!

Thanks!

We've seen these symptoms before where the owner has replaced the inverter, display, cables, and so on, but still the backlight remains off. It usually turns out to be a logic board or solder connection problem. Very difficult to track down and repair. The only thing I can suggest is do a lot of Googling and searching for how users eventually cured the problem. The Apple Community forums are loaded with threads regarding the same problem. LINK
