Internet sharing + Hot Spot to Apple TV

I am running Hot Spot Shield on my Mac. When I try to Share my Internet Connection (with hot spot shield running) while connected via an Ethernet cable, my AppleTV recognizes and connects to the new network...HOWEVER when I try browsing Netflix, or any other web content it tells me it's NOT AVAILABLE...what gives??
