iphone backup file was not found in MacbookPro

Hello everyone,
I just bought a Macbook Pro and backed up my iphone4 but I couldn't find the backup file. Any instruction will be appreciated.

Welcome to Mac, and have a look here ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/ OR /Users/username/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup.

Yeah, thanks a lot but how can I restore without remembering the password to unlock the backup file? Is there any way to do with it? Thanks a lot.

Not sure you can as the backups will be encrypted. But I might be wrong.:\
