I have a Late 2011 13" Macbook Pro, and wanted to install a larger hard drive than the 500 gb given to me. I was wondering if anybody knows the specs of a new hard drive that would best fit my laptop.

I'm looking at this one: Amazon.com: Western Digital Scorpio Blue 750 GB SATA 5400 RPM 8 MB Cache Bulk/OEM Notebook Hard Drive - WD7500BPVT: Electronics

and this one:Newegg.com - Western Digital Scorpio Black WD7500BPKT 750GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive

and was wondering what the difference was between the two.

Thank you very much!

Welcome to the Mac Forums!

I moved your post here to the correct forum.....

To answer your question, the drive from Newegg would be my choice as it's faster (7200 RPM vs 5400 RPM) and has a larger cache. (16 MB vs 8 MB) However, both drives would be OK to use in your MBP.

Go for an Solid-State Drive (SSD) my friend. It might cost a little more but you will be glad you did in the long run!!!

fast as flip.

250mb/s vs 20mb/s for example.
