What to do with disk drive from dead macbook?

i have an Air and i would like to be able to use my old disk drive from my dead macbook core duo in my new Air. is the an adapter i can get to connect the drive through usb? hopefully i can still use this like i did my HD with a sata usb cable.

This is exactly what you can do with your old MacBook's HD.

Purchase a 2.5" SATA external hard drive case...install the MacBook HD into it...then plug it into your MacBook Air via USB cable.

thanks. i figured it was my "disk drive" wording that might have been confusing

damm that's pretty expensive, i was hoping it would be in the 5-10 range... the sata usb connection was less than 5 bucks after shipping, but still its better than an $80 super drive. just to copy a few dvds, i guess that prices is the same as 2 dvds so not too bad. hopefully my drive still works though.

I only used that product/link as an example…so you would know that what you were looking for was available. Then you get to do the "shopping" for best price (as you already did).

Glad to hear you found something on e-Bay…how much was it (I may be interested in one)? Or at least help someone else looking for one in the future.
