I'm using a old MacBook as a pseudo home server. Basically just as a computer to run music and other things. I know using a macbook is not best practice because of the power cord coming unplugged. However, it is what I have. With that said, is there a way I can set up something so that I can receive an email whenever the power cord is unplugged, or it is drained to a certain percentage? Thanks!

The best way to do this is a combination of Growl and either Hardware Growler or UnPlugged"]UnPlugged[/URL]. Configure Growl to either send you an email when HG/UP sends a notification, or have Growl forward that notification to another computer that has Growl installed also.
