yahoo mail attachment problem

Hi,
I have switched to a Macbook pro using OSX 10.8 and safari 6.0 browser. Just tried to send an invoice using Yahoo mail but cannot attach my invoice (XL file).
Yahoo mail returns a "invalid file selected" message when I try to attach the invoice.

What is the problem and any solution?

Send the invoice file as PDF and it should go.
