I'm graduating college in a month. We use Vegas pro here, and It's not really used in the professional world. I want to start working on a mac so I can use Final cut pro and Avid. My only problem is that I'm not sure which product is better. I'm looking to buy a refurbished IMac or Mac pro. Can someone help me, please?

Here is a description of a refurbished Mac pro I currently have my eye on:

One 2.8GHz Quad Core Intel Xeon E5462 "Harpertown" processor
4.0GB (2x2.0GB) PC2-6400 (800MHz) DDR2 ECC fully-buffered DIMM, supports up to 32.0GB
320GB Serial ATA hard disk drive @ 7200RPM, includes four drive trays
DVD-RW/CD-RW SuperDrive-DL
ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT graphics with 256MB GDDR3 memory
No AirPort Extreme card
Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR
2- Dual-link DVI ports
5- USB ports
2- FireWire 400 ports
2- FireWire 800 ports
2- Ethernet ports
2- 16-lane PCI Express (PCIe) 2.0 expansion slots (video card installed in one)
2- 4-lane PCI Express (PCIe) 1.1 expansion slots

If I edit off a hard rive, will I still be able to edit HD videos on a IMac without it being slow?
