I use a simple program on Windows for searching folders of files, looking for specific content. Basically, I'm a developer and I use it to search through code. I may, sometimes, use the replace feature as well to modify text as well.

However, I'm struggling to find an equivalent (preferably free) for OS X.

Does anybody have any recommendations?

Thanks,
David.
