Just got the MacBook Air I've been wanting for years. Downloaded numbers and tried to work on some excel spreadsheets. Gave up and downloaded MS Office 2011 for Mac trial. Doesn't work like my old excel. Need to split the screen to see the headers so right click and nothing happens. How do you split the screen on a Mac?

Open a file that you want to work on. So, for your example, assuming the headers you want to see start in row one column one do the following:

1. Click Row 2 Column 1
2. Go to the Menu bar and Choose "Window".One of the options there is "Split". Choose that option.

If you want the header row to stay visible as you scroll down the page go to the Window menu and choose "Freeze Panes".
