After having the laptop now for around 4 years, I am basically in need of upgrading the small HDD to one with greater capacity (500GB). The only issue is that I do not know which brands are the most reliable and what are compatible. I understand that my macbook model takes 2.5 inch / Sata Drives but really dont know what is the better option. The ones I have currently been looking at consist of the following:
Toshiba 640GB 2.5 Int SATA 5400rpm HDD | Ebuyer.com
Hitachi 500GB 2.5" SATA-II Travelstar Hard Drive.. | Ebuyer.com
Western Digital Scorpio Blue 500GB 5400 RPM SATA Mobile Internal Hard Drive OEM (8 MB,2.5 inch,Sony Playstation PS3 Compatible): Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories
I am new to this Forum. If anyone can help me out here and provide a bit of advice it would be much appreciated.
