I have 10.6.8. On logging on i noticed that my mail icon had gone from desktop. Efforts to recover failed. I loaded the disc and reloaded mail and that brought icon back to desktop and apps. but on clicking was told that this was not suitable for the os i was using.
I have always used this os and this particulary mail app.....fortunately i can still gain access to mail via ipad and mobile phone but does this mean i have lost everything associated with my mail app i.e. address books old emails etc?
is it recoverable?.
