If you were in charge of how OS X looked how would you make it?

I would hardly classify Firefox as Aqua. Camino is Aqua, Firefox is its own freakish UI design.

Yes, FireFox is a little different the Aqua but it was the only app I could think of at the time that was like that. This is a more concise example of what i mean by Aqua:

I like that theme UNO that you can get on MacUpdate. It unifies the entire system execept iTunes. For that you have to get "iTUNO".

Yes, the Aqua lines are getting tired. So is brushed metal.

I'd like the entire OS to look like the current iTunes window. Which it does because I'm running "Leopard" on Shapeshifter. It's the designer's view of how Leopard will look and it looks good. :mac:

Yes I do. Consistency is a good thing. I don't really care which, so long as they pick one and stick with it.

A more consistent approach would be nice, but I still rather like Aqua. At first I disliked brushed metal looks; but that has its charm too in certain apps.

I think my only slight nag is the close, minimise and zoom buttons. I tend to use the Graphite colour theme to save me the traffic light effect; but I would personally prefer to have them a little more immediately obvious what they do, and dare I say it, a bit more like the Platinum appearance from OS 8/9; and laid out in the old positions...

But it's nothing major.

But of course, I don't see that happening, ever.

I'd like the minimize to be replaced with the OS9 "windowshade effect" where it draws up into itself. I loved that and was sad to see it go with OSX.

Unsanity makes software that does it for you, but it's $10...and I'm cheap. :)

I actually voted for randomness on the poll, but after trying UNO, I must admit it is quite nice to have everything with a consistent look.

Safari especially looks better without brushed metal...
