Can some one help me or point me in the right direction.

I am able to send email, but not receive.
I have checked all setting out, double checked with ISP and Hosting company.

In MAIL, next to INBOX, the is an EXCLAMATION MARK (!) surrounded by a GREY TRIANGLE, then surrounded by a CIRCLE.

Therefore there must be something wrong.

I am running Mac OS 10.6.8 on a iMac.

Recovered OS a while ago as CRASHED etc.

Ask any question and I will do best to answer.

Please help me and get my Mac working right, sick of going on-line and Outlook Web App.

I advance, many thanks.:\

When you ask Mail to check your email, does it prompt you for your password or give you any sort of errors?

Thanks for the question.
When I open Mail and click on INBOX, it just shows last time I received one, Jan 2012.
I ask it to 'GET MAIL' nothing happens.

When I click on RSS, I still receive new postings.

Probably a stupid question, but have you tried clicking the ! mark next to inbox? Because usually this will give you an idea of the error.

Just checked.
When I click on the GREY image next to the INBOX, it is prompts me by asking if I want all mail boxes on-line. Which I agree with.
Then I click on the GREY image next to INBOX and a ALERT appears.

'There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Verify the settings for account "52 North" or try again.

52 North is the SMART MAILBOXES I have for my business Email I am trying to set MAIL, to only receive etc.

Is there anything I need to do to make or work or is it a fault somewhere??

All I can think is that your incoming mail settings are incorrect, but you say you have double checked them. You could delete and re-add the account, but make sure anything important is backed up!

Thanks for that.
There must be something amiss to cause the problem in the first place.
Cheers
