Has anyone had any experience in creating a .mov video file with 5.1 surround for use inside xcode for a app which then will be outputted via a HDMI to a 5.1 surround amp. I can create a .wav file via Logic Pro then i can create a .mov file with the wav converted to ACC and ive been able to create a .mov file with a separate AC3 file but i can not work out how to combine the 5.1 surround file with the .mov file so it can then be played inside a app via a HDMI out to a amp. I can play the video files through the app and the amp to a TV but the amp will not recognise the 5.1 file. I think it has to be a AC3 file but Im not sure how to combine the file with the .mov.
