I have not received any mail for 24 hours - but I can send mail.

A telecom helpline operator told me that in the Window Doctor - Accounts part I had to untick "remove copy from server" in the Advanced tab. This has made no difference.

I can access the account on the web successfully, but this is not what I want.

It is as if something has gone wrong with the Mail-In part of the POP account.

As far as I know I have done nothing different or changed settings to stop what has worked successfully for years.

Can anyone help as to why I cannot receive mail.

Thanks

You need to check the settings in Mail > Preferences > accounts to make sure all the incoming settings are correct, mainly the incoming mailserver, username and password

Well simply send a message to yourself named Testing and see if that gets through.

Thanks for that - tried all that, mails sent to self are not coming through either.

Everything seems to say that the password and user name are not recognised - but they are right. Been onto our provider and they are reporting it as a fault -

I just hope that there is not something simple and wrong about my settings.....

Discovered that email not working on my iPhone or iMac either. All stopped receiving at the same time so the fault must be at the providers end.
