I'm trying to burn some photos from iphoto onto a cd. I keep getting an error that says: The burn to the MAT****A CD-RW CW-8123 drive failed. The burn failed because of a medium write error.

Does anyone know what the heck that means??

It could be a bad CD. I would try another one. What brand of CD media are you using?

What gen. iBook do you have? Did you get it within the last 4-5 months?

I've read about 3 seperate cases (Including my roommate's doing it) of the recent iBooks having that file corrupted from the factory. Since that kernel extension controls the info going to and from the CD drive, they throw that error on occasion.

My roommate did a whole backup/reinstall and it got rid of the problem. I would do a little more researching and asking before I do that though. It may be a different problem.
