I've tried searching and haven't been able to find anything on this subject. Does anyone know if the the flash storage on the Macbook Air/Retina is slower or faster than an SSD drive in a regular Macbook Pro?

I've seen some videos of people who have upgraded their Pros to an SSD drive and compared them to the Macbook Air, and they seem to be quicker than the Macbook Air in everything except for startup times. Not sure if someone has compared the Retina.

My mid 2012 13" mbair with 512GB SSD is 8x faster than my mid 2010 mbpro. Just installed a 512 GB SSD in the mbpro and see a 3x speed increase over the 500GB 7200 rpm HDD I took out.
