Hello Everybody :D

I own an Ibook G4 800 MHz (Late 2003 Model) Using 384 Mb of RAM. As of today (Oct. 25, 2012) it is running great. i even play mine craft in my browser at a reasonable speed (short render distance). But i think it could use some more RAM. With the 128 MB already soldered to the logic board, this will max out the ram at 640 Mb. I found a chip and wanted to know if it was compatible. here are the spec:

512MB Powerbook & iBook G4 Memory DDR PC2700 Ram SODIMM

Hope you can help,
Thanks

Good News: Yes Apple officially says that the maximum ram for this iBook is 640meg…but you'll be very pleased to hear that it can actually be upgraded to 1152meg (1.152gig)…with a single 1gig stick of ram.:) This sometimes happens…some models can actually be safely upgraded beyond what Apple says.

Bad News: Your iBook needs PC-2100 laptop ram. I do not believe the PC-2700 you found will work or fit (different pin arrangement).

HTH,:)
