I bought a 24" cinema display (model A1267) off craigslist yesterday that came with only a VESA mount and not the original stand. If I can find a good deal, I might end up using the VESA to mount it on my desk, but otherwise I need to find a stand for it. Searching around I found that the Imac stand is almost a fourth of the price of the cinema display stand for some reason, and as far as I can tell they mount the same way.
Is there any reason I can not use an Imac stand for my cinema display? The only difference I can predict is that it might stand taller, judging from many threads I found of people complaining that there Imac and cinema displays sit at different heights, as seen below.
So does anybody know if using the stand from an Imac on a Cinema Display will work?
