I'm brand new to mac-forums and I would just like to say to the community thank you for being here! I love my mac and like to help others with software solutions and issues.
Onto the problem I am having...
Firstly, I am running OSX 10.6.8 on a macbook pro.
I have been emptying my trash with the old "sudo rm -Rf ~/.Trash/*"
It seems that it is not deleting them because when I try to empty the trash from the GUI by right-clicking on the trash icon and then clicking "Empty Trash" it proceeds to try to delete like 8,000 files and then just gets stuck.
I was thinking i could just CD to "~/.Trash" and then delete all hidden items manually but I'm just not that good with terminal. I can read but not write lol.
Any help would be much appreciated!
