safari address bar

hello,
i am using mac os 10.4.11 and safari 4.1.3. last night suddenly the address bar in safari disappeared. i have been searching since and the solution that everyrbody give is to go to customise toolbar and drag the address bar. i cannot do this as the address bar has disappeared in the customise tool bar too. please help as this is causing a lot of problems for me. i need to get the url bar back.

Install an older copy of Chrome or Firefox and use either one to download Safari and reinstall it.
