I did the same thing in Jan 2011 to an iMac. In your WinXP Quicken, export the data to a USB drive to file named abcd.qxf. Open new Quicken on Mac & import the qxf file. qxf = quicken export file; abcd is old data name.
Be forewarned, Quicken on the Mac lacks support from Intuit and is a bit buggy. I have been using it for over 20 years and have come to rely on it but now it is a real pain in the A_ _ to work with.
I tried to get comfortable with Quicken for Mac, but it was a pain and it's functions are sorely lacking. I installed Parallels and Quicken for home use and Quickbooks for the HOA. Both work great.
